Skortched Urf’ Studios is seeking freelancers to assist us in bringing cutting-edge gaming and entertainment products to market.  We are open to working with novice as well as professional freelancers; but all must maintain good communication and turn in quality work.

Areas we currently use freelancers for:

The Traveller (Mongoose Publishing) RPG System

We are actively supporting this system with several PDF lines including our S.C.A.R.E. (Secrets, Contacts, Allies, Rivals & Enemies) series and Minor Races, as well as larger products designed for print distribution.  We need writers with a solid understanding of the Traveller SRD, who can develop new rules and setting material covering assigned topics.  Current Traveller System projects cover both  Science Fiction and Modern settings.

We pay one to three cents per word, based on experience and the project assigned.

Pathfinder/OGL 3.5 System

We actively support the OGL by producing material compatible with the Pathfinder Role Playing Game.  We continue to expand our Adventurer Essentials line, as well as several other projects including our Campaign Overlay series of sourcebooks.  Freelancers should have a solid grasp of the SRD and Pathfinder RPG, and be able to bring their creativity to bear within the rule-set developing new and exciting content.

We pay one to three cents per word, based on experience and the project assigned.

We strive to use top quality art in our products; and thus often require the services of  talented artists.  We typically use a modern “Comic-Book Style” but are open to various styles of illustration.  (We do not want overly cartoony or anime looking art.)  We typically use Black & White illustration, either digital or scans, but sometimes need color work as well.  (Covers, for example.)

We pay one $20-50 per image, based on the size and detail of the art required.

We are open to unsolicited submissions for new projects.  If you have an idea that you think would be a good fit for Skortched Urf’ Studios, then please contact us via email outlining who you are, your experience and the project.  We’ll be happy to discuss it.
